Brian A. Trodden's expansive resume includes both civil and criminal litigation.  His civil practice has a strong emphasis on medical malpractice, personal injury, construction and motor vehicle accidents.  Additionally, in his criminal practice, he has successfully defended all types of criminal charges including: Homicide, Felony Assault, Grand Larceny, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance, Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance, Arson, DWI, Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle, Harassment, Criminal Contempt, Criminal Mischief and more.


As a former Suffolk County Assistant District Attorney, Mr. Trodden has extensive criminal law and trial experience.  He prosecuted a wide variety of matters while working in the District Court Bureau and Rackets Bureau, including Homicide, Felony, Assault, Possession of a Weapon, Gambling, Loan Sharking, Labor Law violations, Larceny, Fraud, Forgery, Trademark Counterfeiting, Scheme to Defraud, Insurance Fraud and DWI.


Mr. Trodden has earned a reputation with both civil and criminal adversaries as an aggressive and tough litigator.  After several years honing his trial skills as a Suffolk County Prosecutor, Mr. Trodden worked in one of the largest and most respected medical malpractice defense firms in the metropolitan area.  His practice was exclusively dedicated to medical malpractice defense.  In representing several of the most prominent health care institutions in the country, he became thoroughly knowledgeable in both the law and medicine required to successfully serve as lead trial counsel in complex medical malpractice cases in New York City and Long Island.


Mr. Trodden has litigated cases in the Supreme, County and District Courts of the State of New York and Federal Court in the District Court of the Eastern District of New York.  Mr. Trodden has successfully argued in the Second Department of the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court.
